Roles, onboarding, training, and support
Roles
Organizations are required to identify on their applications who will play the following roles:
- Program Director: The program director markets, plans, organizes, and manages the Kauffman FastTrac program for an affiliate and serves as the primary point-of-contact to the Kauffman FastTrac team.
- Optional: Course Manager: The course manager is an optional role that assists the program director in managing the administration of FastTrac courses.
- Facilitator(s): The facilitator presents the FastTrac curriculum, and directs structured, experiential learning opportunities so participants can learn in an optimal environment. An organization may choose to have more than one facilitator to deliver the FastTrac material.
Some affiliates are small enough that one person plays all roles, or some affiliates have one program director and multiple facilitators.
Onboarding and training
FastTrac affiliate applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, however, onboarding is held four times per year. Payment of the one-time $200 application fee is due before an application will be reviewed. If accepted, the program director will receive an email with onboarding details and dates.
Onboarding typically takes 60 to 90 days and includes Virtual Facilitator Training (VFT), which all affiliate facilitators must attend before hosting their first class, and program directors are expected to attend all onboarding steps to be fully authorized to start classes.
Support
All active FastTrac affiliates are required to participate in an Annual Affiliate Review call with the Kauffman FastTrac team to review metrics, address challenges, and provide support.
The Kauffman FastTrac team is currently reviewing and adding to the benefits offered to FastTrac affiliates. Currently, affiliate support includes FastTrac branding and marketing toolkits, support for our learning management system (LMS) Canvas, and additional webinars and trainings to help affiliates offer best-in-class FastTrac courses for entrepreneurs.
