Kauffman FastTrac® Extends Veterans Initiative into 2013

Training to be provided to an additional 500 plus military veterans who plan to pursue entrepreneurship.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Oct. 18, 2102 – Kauffman FastTrac today announced plans to extend into 2013 its highly successful 2012 Kauffman FastTrac Veterans Initiative, which delivered courses to more than 300 U.S. military veterans interested in starting and growing their own companies.

Next year’s training initiative will engage Kauffman FastTrac’s network of affiliated organizations across the country to deliver courses in their local markets and online. The FastTrac® NewVenture course, developed by Kauffman FastTrac, is designed to help veterans transition into the civilian workforce by equipping them with the information and knowledge necessary to launch a business.

“In 2012, we proudly served more than 300 men and women who selflessly served our country. It is our honor to serve an additional 500 plus veterans in 2013 and help them prepare for the next steps in their careers,” said Alana Muller, president of Kauffman FastTrac.

The courses, a value of up to $800 per person, will be offered at a discount to veterans (and participants may be eligible for GI Bill reimbursement). Courses will be scheduled throughout the year. Interested parties can find more information at www.fasttrac.org/veterans .
